Just played about (10) records on a Vintage Dual 510 (with semi-hard rubber top) and this cork mat is definitely an ENHANCEMENT to my ears. It also seems to really reduce the static electricity on the record because as soon as I take the record off the platter there is very little static build up like it used to (you just notice that when you put the record back in the platter paper sleeve and how it pulling out paper wrappers). next to the post). My only real downside is that when I take the platter out of the tray, the cork mat is exactly the same size as the platter, and I sometimes grab the mat AND the platter instead of the platter itself. You have to get used to just lifting the edge of the record slightly and not touching the cork mat. Great solution to upgrade my turntable and improve the sound of vinyl records. By the way, I listen to an average of 20-25 records a week.
