This is perfect! I am making a necklace (see photo) for my children who are finally born again. They don't keep their backpacks at school 24/7, so I find it pointless to tie them to a backpack. I've attached them to the straps with lip balm so they have access to their essentials throughout the day! They are a great size and the fabric is very durable! The clips they come with seem a little flimsy, but good ones are easy to buy if extra protection is needed.
