I wouldn't call it glossy. It's more like eggshell or satin than sheen. Definitely a great option for a variety of crafts, but if you're in the mood for something super shiny, you might want to skip this finish. It comes with two sheets of orange transfer tape with a half-inch mesh. If you're a diligent weeder, you'll probably enjoy this. The vinyl sheets are of reasonable thickness and the sticky surface is perfect for the transfer process.
