I would like to say that this is a great little desk but the very first item out of the box was a broken desk. The box arrived torn and punctured but I figured I might get lucky as the desktop was covered with a layer of foam. No - there is a pockmark from what pierced the box, and the desktop cracked. A scratch is quite easy to fix, but it is useless because sooner or later it will break in half. I've been looking forward to this table finishing the workshop and now all other items intended to be used with it must lie on the floor until a replacement can be found. Too bad items can't get from A to B without being destroyed. Let's see if I can get a replacement worktop or table quickly. heavy sigh. . .Upgrade - forget spare parts. According to Dorel, they are no longer available because the manufacturer no longer makes the part. Since they can't handle all replacement requests, for example, it's more likely to be. I'm still trying to figure out what to do with this thing. While I can and do fix/repair furniture, the top is like a teary finish over chipboard. This is a typical normal occurrence for lower end furniture pieces and I wasn't expecting it to be solid for the price of this unit. Even more expensive furniture can have a similar finish on solid wood. The problem with trying to repair is that the usual post-processing after the repair process doesn't work. This is a shame as this piece is the perfect size for the small space I have and the color matches other furniture I have for this space. Now I'm not sure I can have confidence in ordering another item from Revain. This is a complete disappointment.
