Easy connection in car radio

Receiver works well. Easy connection. Take your time placing/installing antennas. Although I know that the manufacturer "suggests" where to place the antennas (the roof), I decided to try something simple first that had worked so far. I have an old Camry 4-Dr Sedan with a relatively flat trunk lid that I decided to mount the antennas on. I placed the antennas in the center of the trunk lid at the point closest to the rear window with the wiring facing the rear window. I routed the wiring under the trunk lid and used zip ties to secure the wiring along the underside of the trunk lid and along the hinge (I chose the passenger side) and then began routing the wiring through the trunk and under the upholstery. work until I get to the passenger side of the dash where I've attached the receiver and connected the wiring. When using this antenna location, the following should be considered: 1) Will I experience interference from the standard antennas on the rear window of the vehicle? ? 2) Do I have a weak signal because the trunk lid is blocked by the roof? 3) Will the trunk lid pinch the antenna cable I run under the lid between the trunk ledges? So far I've had no problems with the signal and I don't see any signs of pinched wires. What I like about this place is no modifications to the car and no major work to remove and reinstall the window seal. I also like that if I "for whatever reason" I want to hide the antennas, I can just open the trunk and clip a stick to the underside of the trunklid until I'm ready to go again. An example would be an automatic car wash where I might want to hide the antennas until I'm done. If I follow the suggested setup I can't do it. But best of all, installation was easy. I'll keep it like this until I get in trouble.
