This works for toothpaste. However if you don't want it to last forever and very hard then you can recommend my truck. Initially it took me about 10 minutes to enter the smallest amount. First I pushed the plunger all the way down and then tried to pull it back to remove it. It gave me maybe 5ml at a time with a lot of effort. Trick. Pull the plunger out of the syringe, push the toothpaste into the syringe and reinsert the plunger. Then insert the tip of the plunger and push it in, you'll need a second pause or to shake it, but I was able to fill it in about 30 seconds to a minute using this trick.
