Read instructions front and back! My husband got very frustrated trying to get him out of the military's 24-hour hours, but it was actually pretty easy. Like any other digital watch, it needs to be set up. Patience is required as all adults have large fingers and the buttons are small. It was a little tricky to press both buttons on one side at the same time and press the other button at the same time, but overall the watch is great! My son loves it and that is the most important thing. I still need time to figure out the alarm clock on it, but we haven't had to use it yet. I think it would be difficult for my son (9 years old) to set the clock himself, but only because he never had one. Worth the price and we are satisfied.
