I bought these to have more strap colors as my fitbit only came with black. They are easy to assemble and just as comfortable as the original strap. There is a small tab on the underside of the loop/cradle that snaps into the notches on the other side of the strap. This was something that wasn't in the original feed and I don't think it's necessary. However, if the loop slips across the tape and the other end flops, then yes, it is necessary. The material of the strap is not rubber like the original, maybe that's why. Tongue/notch retainer makes removal a bit tricky. It feels like it's loop breaking, it's pretty reliable. Instead of pulling the end out of the loop, I slide the loop back to remove it. You don't have to press as hard. I would buy again. All colors are great.
