I have been using tablets for a long time, there is something to compare this "novelty" with. There was an iPad mini (the very first), iPad Air 2, iPad mini 4, now I have iPad Air 2022 in my hands. I chose my father according to the criteria: memory size, screen diagonal, screen replacement price (he is a little clumsy in matters of technology, so I had to provide for such option in case of an unsuccessful fall of the tablet)). Before buying, I looked at the store for a long time, probed and looked at how fast the work in the programs was. The tasks are unpretentious: content consumption, a news application, a reader, surfing the Internet. It copes with these tasks with a bang and will last for several years, that's for sure. As a protection, in the kit I gave UAG protective glass and the most armor-piercing case from UAG - Metropolis. I will say right away that this case is quite thick, and so a difficult tablet becomes even heavier, but the protective functions are on top. But, there is one thing, but it’s strange that the manufacturers didn’t think about this moment: the glass is glued to the entire screen, the case presses a little along the edges, which is why a bubble constantly forms in one corner. For the money this is not cool. Regarding the eternal nit-picking about the air layer of the screen, I will say this, if you don’t drive it into your head, forcibly look and look, then everything will be ok. On a black tablet, it does not catch the eye at all. The camera (especially the front camera) is at an average level, probably even lower, but . Who even uses this camera in prof. purposes? For domestic phone calls on Skype, it's enough for the eyes. The performance is enough for games, for this it is not necessary to take a pro for 100 million money. I don't use Apple pencil, so I can't say anything. For the price: I took it at a discount for education on the official Apple website, so it turned out to be only 1000 more expensive than the cheapest offer on the market (I advise you to google this program). Cases are not included in this program, so yes, I had to fork out a little here) All in all, it's a good solid tablet at a nice price (get the 128GB only). All the best!
