Won't recharge, leads melted, sparked

Used once and won't take a charge? Charger giving battery voltage error. Battery lead connections melted togetherUpdate- received replacement battery. same error. Same error on different charger. Took to hobby store to ensure it wasn't it my error. Battery sparked when they plugged it in and said they would never use it. These battery's are not safe
