Review on REARMASTER OBD Power Cable for Dash Camera - 24 Hour Surveillance & Acc Mode with Switch Button, USB Port by Committed Schmidt

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It works and installs quickly, but the 11.6V cutoff can drain the battery too much

My car's outlet won't turn off, so I needed a non-intrusive solution Connecting required my capacitor power. Dual Aukey DVR to fuse box. It worked as my OBD port is easily accessible just below the dash. I turn it off when parking at home and leave it on when parking in public places to detect possible collisions and car accidents. 2 times when I forgot to turn it off and parked for a few days my 8 cylinder car battery needed a little boost to start due to a 11.6 volt failure even though it wasn't fully discharged. It should be higher, say 12.2 or adjustable, but I can live with that. The company makes similar devices with USB ports that plug directly into webcams (or other devices), but I prefer this setup because it gives me more wires. length for routing, and I can easily connect a USB power bank to my camera out of view for extended parking surveillance.
