Will not work with Lexus RX

Bought earlier this year and finally installed today. I should have tested it before installing it. After 20 minutes of panel removal and clean installation, the product is no longer good. This includes many bugs on my Lexus Dash. I've bought a lot of these things but never had this problem. See other article if you have a Lexus RX.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • High price

Clean up your center console ports with this and splitter

Works great in my OBD port, I've set it to turn on when my car is on and 10 minutes after I get out of cars, my DVR and my phone charger is off. Works so well and allows me to connect my phone and dashcam at the same time and tidy up the clutter and hide it under the dash instead of cluttering up my center console.

Pros
  • Rugged finish
Cons
  • Questionable purchase for seniors

No longer works with O setting

Received this on April 1st 2019 at 4pm and it worked great leaving it on O setting. Great, I don't have to worry about plugging it in or turning it on until the next day. Turned off randomly while driving. It still works in the - position (it stays on until you turn it off), but that's not what I bought it for.

Pros
  • Annual trial period
Cons
  • Running speed

Blocks the emergency brake latch on my Ford

It blocks the emergency brake latch and when I try to pull it anyway the obd2 port gets bent. Compared to the standard charger, my dash cam is much thicker and I think they can reduce the volume to make it more compatible with other cars. The standard cable has many components arranged along the cable instead of all being stacked on the obd2 port.

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • not reliable

Almost every diagnostic sensor in my car worked

I don't know if this thing is shorted or what but as soon as I hooked it up to my car it started throwing all kinds of diagnostic errors. Traction control, ABS, parking sensors, etc. started making mistakes. I haven't even plugged anything into the USB port on this device. Most bugs went away when I unplugged the power and returned when I plugged it back in, so that was definitely the culprit.

Pros
  • Absolute Legend
Cons
  • Good but not great

Works great - with one caveat

As others have said, the auto-off switch doesn't seem to work at first glance. When I first installed it, I was disappointed that my dash cam didn't turn off after turning off the ignition. However, I read another comment that says it turns off after five minutes and of course that's how it works. Just wait 5 minutes and it should turn off if you use shutdown mode. Not ideal as it wastes storage by recording every time I stop the car, but it's much better than having it on all the time. Overall

Pros
  • Great for a small home
Cons
  • Secret

My car's outlet won't turn off, so I needed a non-intrusive solution Connecting required my capacitor power. Dual Aukey DVR to fuse box. It worked as my OBD port is easily accessible just below the dash. I turn it off when parking at home and leave it on when parking in public places to detect possible collisions and car accidents. 2 times when I forgot to turn it off and parked for a few days my 8 cylinder car battery needed a little boost to start due to a 11.6 volt failure even though it…

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Minor issues
