My wife and I discussed the idea of buying a new mattress for our RV. While it didn't have the comfort issues I had, we both agreed that our mattress was sub-optimal and could be better. Up to this point, we've tried adding a mattress topper and an egg-crate-style foam topper, but neither made a difference. As a last resort to avoid buying a new mattress, we decided to give this topper a try. Happy to report that I slept 100% better after our first hike! It was comfortable and not too hard. We didn't find it hot like some toppers fear, and it maintained its cushioning (didn't flatten out) throughout the weekend. I can't comment on its long-term effectiveness, but it passed our initial use and quality testing with flying colors. (Also, we put it away for about a week after unpacking. We couldn't detect any residual odors after unpacking.)
