Not as good as original Bose parts

A worthy ear pad replacement for the price. I'm giving three stars based on my past experience with OEM and non-OEM products with Bose headphones. In terms of quality, these specific replacement earpads for the Bose QC35 II are inferior to other non-OEM replacement earpads that I have previously used in the QC25, QC2 and AE series. I say that because, unlike previous non-OEM replacement pads, I can tell the difference, and I don't mean well. The first thing I noticed was that the replacement pads didn't fit perfectly. It was visible during installation. If you put in OEM parts they will fit perfectly. I've never had trouble aligning other replacement pads, but I had trouble with this one. I struggled with the installation? No, but it was just unusual. However, since the QC series is designed for noise cancellation, the alignment of the earcup and cushion should provide a near-airtight seal. Otherwise, the noise canceling feature might not work properly, not to mention potential sound leaks. Second, these pillows "feel" different. In particular, they are rigid and hard. I appreciate the durability of these pillows and have a feeling they will last a long time. But time will tell as my previous experience with non-OEM replacement pads has shown me that some non-OEM pads tend to "pop" due to poor foam seal seams, while others have had a more serious detachment problem. Some might like the firmness of these replacement pads, but personally I prefer the original pads that came with my QC35 II. I can't say much about the original Bose QC35 II REPLACEMENT ear pads (which are more expensive), but I've heard that they differ from the original ear pads as well. In addition, these ear pads are thinner than the original ear pads. They are also slightly larger. Combining this conclusion with the first problem, I come to the following conclusion. Third, due to the first two potential issues I outlined, I noticed a difference in the noise canceling feature. I have another set of QC35 II in original condition to compare one with these replacement pads. In short, the noise-cancellation is a little less effective here. I've never had this problem with non-OEM replacement pads for the QC25.

If you wear your Q35 a lot, buy OEM from Bose. These are not as comfortable.
