There is nothing "wrong" with that per se as the 24" measurement depends on the bollard but other rods are measured differently. Also you need room for a 30" rod as you have to account for the rod tips. The 24 "Bar is better by design as it doesn't look as bulky as the disproportionate 12" bar. 12" Bar and 24" Bar These bars are made in China. They are NOT made in Germany or the USA Made They are made in China That's what it says on the box and that's what the Hansgrohe CSR says If you need German made equipment you should ask Hansgrohe but at the moment most of the Axor brand is still made there - cheap built. In terms of sheer quality they appear to be well made from brass if you agree they are made in China fine with the design and fine with the fact that they are not designed to go well together , then these latches a good choice.
