I swear you read these reviews because the two PDMIC58s I received were both wired correctly for balanced use - when I opened them the pins were already wired correctly . The 1/4" to XLR cables are also properly connected, which I checked with a multimeter. Also, a previous review said the cables smelled horribly. Mine are literally perfumed. A bit strange, but at least they try. Pyle, if you're still listening - the notch in the microphone body for mating with the larch of the XLR connector isn't cut quite right, and as a result the XLR connectors don't snap into place. They just slide in by friction, but the XLR spring tab doesn't fit into the recess as intended. Neither my Amazon Basics XLR cable nor the cable that came with it worked.
