I wear a bulky hat and am concerned about the UV protection on my face, especially as I sweat quite easily from sunscreens, even sports formulas. I chose this hat based on the description that the beak was a bit longer, which is true, but not too much. It definitely helps to protect your face from the sun a little better and reduce glare. I've used this all summer for cycling and gardening and have no complaints. Also appreciate that it has reflective material because sometimes I ride my bike after the sun goes down. I have several more expensive caps made from similar material from Columbia and other outdoor brands, but I like this one better because of the longer brim. Will probably order another one in a different color. Good price.
