I bought a non-adjustable desk online only to find that despite careful measurements I am (or so I thought) too tall to use comfortably. I had to lift it three to four inches to make it work, but I didn't want it to become unstable in the process. These risers have raised my desk to just the right height for using my desk without bending or hunching over. more, and they did it without sacrificing stability. But a word of warning: my L-shaped desk had a built-in bookshelf, so instead of four feet to support the risers, I had seven. If you use these risers with a four-legged table, you'll probably wobble more than I do. This is not a lack of risers, but a change in the center of gravity of a piece of furniture.
