While 25 watt incandescent bulbs looked great in my hallway chandelier, they continued to burn out even though they were rarely turned on. I thought replacing it with LED bulbs would solve this problem and drop the total output from 125W to 15W. However, I immediately notice three problems. Both the intensity and the color temperature varied depending on the light source. In addition, since the lower half of the LED is covered above the threaded socket, the lower half of the lamp appears darker. This problem does not exist with incandescent lamps. These aren't serious problems because I'm sure most people wouldn't look at them.
