Review on 🔊 TCL Alto 8+ 2.1 Channel Sound Bar with Built-In Subwoofer – Fire TV Edition: Immersive Audio and Streaming in One by Shelia Thomas

I bought it 6 months ago and now the remote control doesn't work properly. It's not about the batteries, it's that sometimes when I change the volume and it's on the FireTV it changes the input to HDMI by itself, of course it kicks me out of the app I was in while I was watching was watching the FireTV so I have to open the app and wait for it to load again and that's it just because I changed the volume. Sometimes it also doesn't turn on the TV as intended and doesn't change inputs even when Alexa says "OK". It also started turning off by itself or sometimes loses the picture. One day after the end of the support window, as needed. I want to return it now but I can't. Anyway the soundbar was never good enough for starters, I kept it because I got it cheap on black friday, but still not worth it, sound quality isn't good, and it's a soundbar hence the low rating . It doesn't even have the ability to change bass or treble and is said to have 3 sound modes (movie, music, news) but they all sound the same. I really think they should pay us to test these devices or something because 3 sound modes doesn't make a difference. You should check all other reviews that say the same thing. I don't know if this is a bug of TCL or something else. In addition, the soundbar sounds muffled and there is very little non-existent bass. In fact, I ran a sound test and the bass doesn't go below 50Hz, so their "Feel the power of deep, rich bass with woofers built right into the soundbar" is a lie. You don't feel the bass, you almost don't hear it. I have an older JBL portable speaker, 5-6 years old, 8 inches long and with better bass. Nothing crisp or clear in the audio department. Be careful when you see 5 star reviews because if you read them you'll find that most of them say it's great because they compare the sound to TV speakers... but it should be compared to other soundbars.
