I installed these two panels alongside two separate cameras in completely different locations throughout the house. One of them gets lots of bright south/southeast sunlight. The health of the camera indicates that the battery is almost always charged and even with day/night events (usually caused by a dog) the camera manages to fully charge each day and works fine on less than sunny days. days. Previously, this camera barely lasted a week and once even died in front of the board within 48 hours. The second camera is on the other side of the house, to the north and in shady spots where direct sunlight never hits. Camera status never shows charging, but I've noticed an increase in camera battery life. I really want to reconnect the panel as at first it indicates some kind of power outage, but at the same time, although it doesn't seem to be charging, the battery drains very slowly, only losing about a percent a day. A wonderful improvement for both cameras and I'm happy! I was initially skeptical that the panels would be able to increase the time between battery changes, let alone keep them fully charged. However, I was pleasantly surprised, even with the camera facing north (which just needed to be reset). The investment is definitely worth it, especially when the expected battery life of 1-3 months turned out to be more like a week or less in reality. I was also skeptical about the quality - IMO the Arlo panel looks cleaner and more premium in pictures. - but I'm also very satisfied. These panels look and feel good and are well made. After much delay and research I can say with confidence that buying two of these panels seems like the right choice.
