Doesn't work with Apple products

I bought this because I live in a house with no Wi-Fi or cable and I like streaming and watching TV from my phone. A friend of mine has an Apple version of this adapter that works great. This one doesn't allow streaming to continue smoothly when connected to both my phone and HDMI. I was very happy to use multiple ports on this adapter but unfortunately I will be back.
