This is a fantastic lens for the price. This is a fairly compact, albeit no pancake, lens. This is a fully manual lens, meaning there is no electronic communication between the lens and the camera body. Focus and aperture are set manually on the lens itself, and your camera body takes care of shutter speed, ISO, etc. With the Panasonic G85 I was able to use focus peaking to keep my shots sharp with this lens too. Opening up to f/1.8 is fantastic. Before this lens I used a 25mm CCTV C-mount lens. The CCTV lens is less than half the price of this 7Artisans lens, but you will have some problems due to its low cost. One thing I noticed about the CCTV lens is a slight vignetting at the corners of the image for both videos and photos. At the fastest stop, I also got a lot of swirl around the edges and some parts felt soft. If you can, I highly recommend spending a little more and getting this 7Artisans lens instead. It is definitely better and you will see a big difference in the quality of your images/videos. In addition to the excellent image quality, I like the metal construction of the lens. It also has a decent weight. The lens attaches to your M43 body without an adapter. The lens itself has a proper mount on the back. In terms of packaging, this lens was packaged well. Box made of thick and durable cardboard with nice markings. In the box, the lens is housed in a molded foam cube. I've made a few videos showing off this lens (unboxing and sample video) and I'll keep playing with this lens to see what it can do. More videos to follow.
