They are definitely more transparent than I hoped, but I still had no intention of wearing them separately. Enough warmth inside. My complaint is correct. I'm 5ft 7in and 163lbs. and wear size 10-12 pants. I ordered big. The length is quite long, till the ankle. However, the waistband is too tight at the top. I know I'm not, because pants are always loose in the waist, and if there's any tightness, it's usually in the hips. The hips here were fine, but after wearing the pants for a few hours, I developed a stain on my waist and this discomfort bothered me all day. And although the waistband was tight, the front part of the panty on my stomach was the loosest of all panties. Hope this helps someone. I'll be looking for something with a more traditional fit and a much better level of comfort.
