Review on Braided Surface Charging Compatible Microsoft by Justin Olson

Revainrating 2 out of 5

I ordered two but they look different

Change One of them stopped working after 3 months. Goes straight in the trash. Maybe it's shorted or something. ---- ----------------------------------- ------ When I made the purchase I changed the number to two, but one of them was longer than the other, the LED on each of them is different, and their braid is different. However, both work well and both were able to charge my Surface Pro 4 using the Google Chromebook charger. The USB-c male connects to the USB-c female very well, it just clicks/clicks. Although the LED display seems a bit bland, I don't think it matters. Both charged my laptop like the original charger that came with it. I don't think they should cost $20 but since these are the only products I've seen on the market I can't complain. With a Chromebook charger, I can charge my phone and other USB-C compatible devices, eliminating the need for extra cables.

Pros
  • Requirement: This cable requires a USB-C charger or a charger with an output of 45W 15V 3A. The USB-C female charging cable also requires a USB -C cable that can withstand 3A current. Check your USBC charger to make sure its specifications say "15V/3A". Some Apple PD chargers do not support the cable. It is recommended to use the cable together with a GaN 3-port USBC charger to avoid incompatibility issues. You can find the link in the page details.
