Review on πŸŽ₯ Elite Screens Yard Master 2: 120" Outdoor Projector Screen – Ultra HD 3D Cinema Experience, Easy Snap Foldable Design by Maurice Cunha

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Excellent value for money and quality!

This screen struck me from the moment I received the box. When I ordered it through Prime, it was shipped directly from the manufacturer in California. So he had a long journey across the country to get to me in New Jersey. It was wrapped in two thick layers that had to fit together, so it arrived exactly as it was supposed to. This was my first mark of quality to expect. I know this screen has mixed reviews, but Elite Screens seems to be paying attention and making adjustments based on the feedback. For example, the screen includes diagonal braces, which are pictured on Revain but not mentioned in the assembly instructions (they're easy to figure out). Although only time will tell, it looks well built. I installed and broke it twice and it seems very strong. Everything snapped securely into place and all adjacent parts were machined to fairly tight tolerances - no hesitation! The actual screen footage also seems well done. It's thick and strong and requires some effort to stretch it onto the frame. The clicks feel strong and should last a long time, but only time and repeated use will prove this right or wrong - I'll update if my experience ever changes. The creases from folding were barely noticeable and I didn't even notice them the second time I used them, so they will definitely go away over time. It's also worth noting that after assembling it the first time, it probably took me 1/3 the time the second time. It's a little awkward to understand how it evolves the first time, but after that it becomes very easy. I feel like I could take it out of my bag right now and set it up in 10 minutes. And of course the projected image looks amazing! All the people we invited to the overnight parades were very impressed. We used an Epson Home Cinema 2150 projector (also worth buying!) and were very happy with the kit. I didn't notice any hotspots - the picture looked great! Some minor cons: - I'm pretty sure the case that came with it won't last long. The material is pretty flimsy and the zipper is a piece of junk - if you don't pack everything in exactly the way you intended it will break. I wish they had invested a few bucks more in the quality of the case, but more importantly in a thicker zip. The stakes used to hold the screen in place are of good quality but don't seem to encroach on the legs as intended. . There's a small L-shaped tab that I think should go over the edge of the "legs" of the display frame, but that doesn't happen. It doesn't extend far enough to be rotated even if pushed in with a hammer. Overall we are very happy with this purchase. We would have liked a larger screen, but it seems that if you go beyond 120 inches the price will skyrocket. So it was a good compromise between price and size. We recommend this screen for backyard movie nights!

Pros
  • Projector Screen Features: Fully stretched frame with snaps for flat projection. Includes: one-piece aluminum frame with detachable legs, canvas material, carrying case, grounding pins, lanyard and support rings. Now with AT legs for extra support and stability. ****For best results and minimal or no wrinkling, allow the screen material to sit at room temperature for at least 1 day prior to installation/assembly.
Cons
  • Not satisfied with everything
