I've wanted to increase the RAM on a desktop machine for a long time. I pulled the original documentation from my board to see the recommended disk space for my Asus. Blackboard. With the four slots on the board, I found that the recommended placement for two modules of the same size was not the position I would use if I just opened the case and installed the memory without reading the documentation. After the first check, my Asus board was able to use the memory to the maximum. For those who want to know, the rating was A1 for one module and B1 for the second. The moral of the story is that you should do your homework. .
