I bought this for my lower back which it's not technically designed for but love it. It gets warm but not too hot and the change of direction feels great. I've used it on my lower back, shoulders and neck and it's helped them all. I feel less stressed and more comfortable. I highly recommend drinking water during and after use as it gives you a real massage. I always use it heated but you don't have to, I just love it. You will definitely feel the heat getting warm and this soothing warmth is very relaxing. There are different speeds, but I use the slowest one because my back is very tight. It really helps and that's enough. I highly recommend this device!
