Received this laptop stand today. At the end of the day I wish I had one for years! I didn't understand the difference in lifting the back of the laptop. The screen is easier to see and is more in front of my eyes so I don't have to look down (bend over) to look at it. It's actually easier to type, and my hands don't get as tired at an angle. The product is very solid, the pads keep the laptop stable and it doesn't move at all. It is very sturdy, well made with a good metal frame. Very easy to assemble in about 30 seconds or less (don't forget to find all the spacers at the top and bottom of the frame to remove the plastic packaging covers). When I travel to different places, I can fold it up and pack it in a small padded bag (10.5 inches long x 2.75 inches wide) and put it in my briefcase or carry-on luggage in a few seconds. Everywhere the computer touches it has a rubber base so there is no metal-to-metal contact and there are also non-slip pads on the bottom to ensure there is no metal contact on your desktop hitting the surface could scratch. If only I would think of it! A real bargain for the price.
