I owned a similar style of jacket for our dog and had to get a new one, so selected this one. What a difference! The old jacket had velcor that attached on the front under the neck, which kept coming apart during walking. This jacket loops under the neck and chest and velcro on the top. Makes it better streamlined with a simpler fit and no chance of it coming off. Good design! The old jacket back, like others, uses to flap around when windy. This jacket has back loops, one for each leg to keep that from happening. Works great! Our dog wears a harness instead of a neck collar, and on the old jacket, had to put it over top of it. With this jacket, you put it on underneath first, then the jacket over top of it. Smartly, they put a small zipper access on top so that you can connect your leash to the harness. Very smart! Jacket stays dry and dog is warm and dry. This jacket was well thought out in design and worth the price.
