They are not working properly. It still closes after you collect it. The only way it doesn't work is if you lift it all the way up a few times and it stays open. I wouldn't fully trust it as I feel like a little smack will drop it on your head. Although this makes it a little easier to open and it was easy to install. I think you get what you pay for. This is good if you want something temporary.
