My foot shape may seem strange but these shoes were really comfortable on the first try. The lacing is slightly different on the forefoot, but this worked well for my wide forefoot and narrow rearfoot. The high back offers great support and prevents slipping without chafing (there are 2 huge blisters on the back that have healed from previous shoes so were more sensitive than usual and still felt great). They feel tight and the laces are a bit short to undo, but I'm very happy with them as running shoes. So much so that I feel inspired to try running.
