My first device (same brand and model) died after 5 years, 8 years? idk I use the device at home on my and my husband's hands and feet, natural nails every 1-2 weeks. This new block was less expensive and of good quality. Also, the new device's handpiece weighs less (it's much easier to hold), the low speed is lower (which is good for natural nails - the device still has enough speed for non-natural nails; I didn't get it after about 1/ 4 revolutions of the disk) and it is quieter. Very, very happy with my new purchase. Would definitely buy the device again and would recommend the device to everyone.
