I needed a small, narrow bench for bathroom storage and I finally realized a shoe bench would do. This one came in the right color, size and price. Even for a beginner like me, assembly was relatively easy, although I would have liked the visual instructions to be a bit more detailed in terms of installing screws and bolts. I figured out how to do it in less than an hour. The only downside was a very musty smell when I opened the Songmics box. I soon discovered that it came from a cardboard box containing screws and small wrenches that had apparently gotten wet at some point (?!) and are now moldy (see photo). The bamboo wood seemed untouched and odorless, although I did thoroughly clean the screws and wood to be sure. The end result is that it fits my space perfectly!
