I am 70 years old and have moved from Las Vegas, Nevada to an area with winter cold and snow. I needed a light blanket to keep warm. I no longer have the strength to lift heavy, thick, heavy blankets. I've paid up to $700 in advance in my entire life, now my finances are in place so I have to keep track of every penny. I've seen this blanket, I've seen the price, YES RIGHT! Then I read all the reviews and decided to take a chance. I was so happy when I took it out of the box as it was really light (I thought to myself it wouldn't shoot, it wouldn't work). Night fell at 14, I got up at night like most older people do and was totally blown away by how cold it was in my bedroom, but I was toasted beautifully in my bed under those covers. i am so impressed I hope when it comes time to wash it it comes out as good as it arrived. Even my favorite Yorkies have climbed under it and enjoyed the warmth. When it's too warm, they crawl out from under me and snuggle up to me. I am so impressed with this duvet that I will be purchasing this when I have another bedroom. I didn't give 5 stars just because I haven't washed it yet. I have a regular king size mattress on my bed and this comforter is perfect as long as this comforter (alternative) is as well made as any down comforter I've ever had. Highly recommended optically and warmly, if it doesn't hold up after washing, you can replace it cheaply, then I'll take it to the dry cleaner. Me and my Yorkies are very happy.
