This unit appears to work well although it has plastic gears similar to the OE actuators; those gears will break on their own, after a few years they will break and then the HVAC airflow will be wrong. Regarding installation - on my car, installing this powertrain requires dismantling the transmission control module (a large cast metal box) after removing the glove, the compartment from the instrument panel and the under-dash muffler. Reinstalling the glove box is tricky as it will only align properly if you just hold it in place by tightening the mounting screws. Reinstalling a muffler is difficult because it contains a duct that must be properly aligned when reinstalled or the assembly will not work properly. Some reviews indicated that the drive was not working properly. I suspect that person ordered the wrong drive. In these GM vehicles, actuators with different operating functions are housed in identical housings and, in contrast to OK actuators, are supplied without identification. I can easily see how this can confuse someone when ordering as the SKUs are also very similar.
