Because they have a rubbery texture, they don't stick; especially if you are in a warm climate. Will expand a little which may allow this cork to fall. They will slip off immediately and you may lose your earring(s). I think this is a good option if you plan to use them on kids with inexpensive earrings. I don't recommend it for adults because adults wear more expensive earrings and will not be happy if they lose them.
