Review on STOOL GROUP Frankfurt chair set, plastic/artificial leather, 2 pcs, grey-green by Gabriela Trocka ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Not a bad product, but I expected a little more.

We just got it, put it together, and started using it. Insufficient 2 spring washers (grovers) were available due to the presence of shoals. The finishing touch is inexpensive, but it must be purchased at a hardware store. Another chair had 5 spring washers initially but was regraded to have only 4 washers. There isn't much to the packing either; the box might need more expansion. Very satisfying, especially for the price and ease of access. However, a more reasonable cost would be less. The first image shows the packaging they come in. The flaws and characteristics of the seats themselves come next.

Pros
  • You won't mind landing on or spending a long time in this chair. Everything needed for assembly is included; I demonstrated this by including a photo of bolts, thrust bearings, and other commonly overlooked but crucial components. Everything was contained within a single, sizable package.
Cons
  • Inadequate hardware or a need for package re-sorting. Poorly finished legs; flaws are obvious in the picture; exposed wood means you risk splinters or chipped corners. At the very least, they needed to be polished or concealed. The pillows were covered in a thin leatherette that had apparently been treated with some sort of chemical. Even if you feed it by sight and are really cautious, it won't survive more than a year. These chairs don't require a lot of material, so it was important to resist the temptation to hoard while yet producing a high-quality, robust leatherette.
