Review on Bushing Repair Kit - Transmission Shift Cable Bushing Fix NI1KIT by Jack Harrell

My son came to the house and said he put the car in reverse and stopped the engine. He couldn't switch it back to the park. I googled the problem and this jack came up. You don't have to remove the entire console, as a YouTube video suggests, although it does give you more room to work. I was able to install without removing the entire console. I removed the cup holder, then the molding around the switch. Then disconnect the switching element (the plastic part with P, R, N etc... be careful not to break the cable for the light. I then removed the metal clip holding the cable and took the cable out of the plastic part so I could remove the wire from the center of the shifter install the grommet then reinsert the wire into the derailleur and push the grommet into the shifter whatever you deleted there are a few youtube Videos I hope this lasts as long as the original so I don't have to do it again….lol
