This was the perfect product for my needs. I tore part of our wooden strip. Since the repair was too expensive, I ordered this tape. It was perfect. But I suggest you do as I do and get help. It has no backing so I slowly unrolled the tape while my wife laid it along the ledge. The tape was wider than the molding so I carefully trimmed the edges. It came out very well. And so far it's holding up well. Although the tears were small, simply sealing them would have been unsightly, so I used the entire roll, 15ft. Just take your time and it should work fine. I'm not a professional, just a homeowner. So if I can do it, anyone can. This is an extremely strong adhesive so do not install until you are sure.
