Review on πŸ‘“ Unisex Blue Light Filter Glasses for Reading and Computer Use - Stylish Half-rim Eyeglasses by Holly Wille

Revainrating 4 out of 5

The rear lens surface is too reflective

Advantages: Good quality and comfortable frame. The lenses have good optics. I bought them for my laptop. The lenses are the right size and position to correct my vision for my screen and keyboard. Also, I can clearly see the gap across the top edges of the lenses. Neutrality: These lenses will block some blue light if that's what you want. However, remember that what you see is not necessarily what you get. I also ordered another pair of blue blocking glasses in the exact same style from another seller. The frame is identical but the lenses are different. These lenses don't actually block blue light, which I prefer. (I want to see colors accurately.) Cons: These lenses appear to "block" blue light by reflecting it. They have a coating that only reflects blue light. This is normal for the front of the lenses. However, the back of the lenses also reflects blue light. If you have light skin, they actually reflect the blue light off your skin back towards you, creating a faint blue haze or obscuring parts of your field of view that should be black (e.g. a black screen). I think these glasses will work if you have dark skin. But other than that I think you need a good anti-reflective coating (which is NOT the case). For this reason I am deducting a star. (I'd pay more for a pair of cheaper OTC readers with anti-glare lenses. They're hard to find, though, especially the low-hanging half-frame style.)

Cons
  • No power
