The bandage's neoprene feels strong, stretches just enough to fit snugly around the arm and is soft. The silicone(?) nubs on the back hold the hand well and prevent the bandage from slipping slightly. The Velcro holds tight, won't slip off or come loose on its own. The front plastic is very crisp and interacts well with the touchscreen. It also sticks to the screen a bit, which helps keep the phone in place. I don't know if that's intentional or not, but I feel a little better because the phone is less likely to slip out while running. This makes it a bit difficult to pull out the phone, but not enough to worry. Although I don't need an extension strap, it has the same quality and feel as the main strap. I have a Galaxy S8+ with a protective bumper that makes the phone a bit larger, but not by much. With a protective bumper, the phone still fits, but the back cover doesn't close. When I remove the protective bumper cover, the phone stands up normally and the cover can be closed. Since the phone is secure in the armband, I don't worry about removing the bumper when using the armband. In terms of waterproofing, I have yet to test how it holds up in the rain. Overall I think the product is good for the price and I would recommend it. If I encounter problems in the future, I will update my rating. but the back cover doesn't close.
