Review on Electronics NPC 330 Portable Anti Shock Technology by Ben Demers

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Missing features, low sound.

The device has arrived safely. Not broken or scratched as others have stated and the shock protection seems to work very well on the device I received. The headphones that came with it were very cheap and I don't recommend using them. He played all the real and recorded CDs I threw at him. As long as you know how to burn audio CDs, this thing will play them. The same goes for MP3 CDs, they will play if burned properly. You must use Windows Media Player in "Data CD" mode, or I recommend ImgBurn in "Build" setting. Using the direct windows explorer results in the MP3 CD not being able to be played. However, there are several issues with the product. The product description clearly says "3.5mm headphones and 3.5mm line out". However, this device has NO line-out, only a headphone jack. There is a difference between the two even though they use the same audio connector. Before that I had portable CD players with line out and headphone jack. In addition, the output volume when playing CDs is very low. With the volume turned all the way up and using good headphones, the volume is a bit quieter than normal listening in a quiet room. In public places, the volume is too low to hear music. In FM mode, the volume is much higher. You can also hear mechanical noise through the headphone jack, so sound isolation is likely to be poor. Since the device actually works, it deserves at least 3 stars, but due to several problems I can't give more. I do not recommend this product.
