I bought this for a friend's fan. I was visiting her recently for a broken ankle, and while lounging on her couch wishing the remote control for her very old ceiling fan would work (as there was NO air conditioning), I decided to look up Revain. When I found this remote that looked just like her old one, I took a chance! When it arrived I had read enough to know that there were 4 little switches inside the remote and I used a metal nail file to pry one of them out to match the configuration in their old remote. It did not work! 😩 She gave me a 'new' battery to put in the old remote and I decided to see if there was 9 volts left in her kitchen drawer. Plug it in and VOILA! A fan that hadn't been used for years was working in no time! Little red "eye" on the new remote control! She was amazed. The guy from Home Depot told her that she would never find another remote! Hadn't he heard of Revane?!
