Based on information from the seller I bought these frames to use in my postcard collection. Unfortunately these frames will not fit on a postcard unless new rugs are cut at the frame shop. Old postcards 3-1/2" x 5-1/2". Now for the frame dimensions. Outer frame size is 5-1/16 x 7 inches. The wood that makes up the frame is 3/4" wide, not 1" as stated by the seller. The opening in the back of the frame is 4-1/8" x 6" to accommodate a standard 4x6 photo. The insert has a 7/32" brim, meaning that most of the brim is closed on all four sides. The opening at the front of the frame is 3-5/8" x 5-9/16" The frame comes with a white mat board. The opening in the mat is 2-5/8" x 4-1/8". Finally, the frame has a clear plastic cover. The seller calls it "acrylic sheet". The word plate is wrong. Acrylic is quite flexible and only 0.02" thick (or thin). It's very easy to scratch, so be careful when peeling off the protective film on either side. A decent frame for the price. Due The misleading description and the inaccurate dimensions give it only one star from me.
