I chose this included light kit because I had a boat trailer that was missing one light and the other didn't work so I needed a light kit. Road legal trailer. This set was very easy to use and came with a decent instruction manual. Instead of rewiring the trailer, I simply cut the existing wiring and reused it, reducing installation time by at least an hour. Everything worked fine - just note that the white ground wire must be connected directly to the metal frame of your trailer as the headlights will not work properly or at all. Once grounded, it worked like a charm. I cannot comment on the snorkel aspect as the trailer has raised light stands which are not normally lowered when loading or unloading the boat.
