This is the third product I've bought to satisfy the need to carry tons of mp3 music files for mobile use to rip. .I tried an SD card - NO brand - { only partially effective and most music only had track info but wouldn't load} I tried a microSD card - NO brand - this item was cheap and didn't work. if more than a few thousand files are copied to it. I tried a stick from NO Name - very cheap, couldn't even handle 1/10th of my music collection and failed. GOOD NEWS: This product worked exactly as advertised. It was a true USB3 device that copied many files very quickly and accurately. I copied 5-10 thousand files at once and the drive just hummed. I wish it had an "activity" LED, but that's just my thought. I finished the long copy process as fast as the hard drive! Very impressive.
