Review on 📱 Bracketron O2 Air Vent Magnet Car Mount: Hands-Free Phone Holder for iPhone X, Samsung Galaxy S9, Google Pixel 2 XL, and More by Brian Cueto

Good design. Requires some fiddling.

Overall good design. I attached a metal disc to the center of the back of the phone and replaced the protective case. The strength of the magnetic field is still enough to hold the phone even on bumpy roads. It fell off once when I didn't center it properly over the phone holder's magnetic area. The alligator clips hold the holder to the vent, but it takes a bit of fiddling to find the right vents and angle to keep them in the vent. The downside to this design is that it blocks air in the summer and puts heat right in its path in the winter. Although for me it's a workable compromise. Suction cups have never helped me. Changes in time and weather eventually cause the sucker to break free, and it always happens at a horrible time. I have a type of cup holder for another car, but on my Honda Element, the cup holder is too far from the driver's line of sight. That's why I chose a model with ventilation. I gave it a four because it takes a bit of fiddling to keep it in the vent (your mileage will vary) and you'll need to retighten the plastic pressure from time to time. a nut in contact with a plastic ball that allows adjustment of the grip angle. Of all the plastic phone holders I've seen and used, this magnetic model is by far the best.
