Review on Boraam 24-Inch Sonoma Bar Stool, Storm Grey Wire-Brush Finish by David Miller

Some Woodworking Required

You get what you pay for. These are decent little, cheap stools. The manufacturing quality control on these is laughable.Out of the 4 stools which we purchased, there were 3 holes (for the screw) that were not drilled to the appropriate depth, 1 hole that was not drilled at all and 4 slots that I needed to clearance out with some wood working tools to get the stools to go together. These are made out of cheap wood. I would recommend you use a little wood glue at each joint to provide a little more strength.Once they're together, they are decent little stools. Fairly comfortable. A little lighter weight than I would have imagined. The aesthetics are nice. The coloring and the faux wood grain give a rustic look to these. I was pleasantly surprised to find little nylon feet on the bottom of the legs, preventing these stools from damaging the hardwood floors. All in all, I'm happy with these. I just didn't expect to have to break out the tools to get them assembled.

Pros
  • The storm grey wire-brush finish is easy to clean, and it resists scratches, chipping, and fading, making it durable and long-lasting
Cons
  • The stool is not suitable for use by the elderly
