The big question these days is which organizer to buy. I assume you're reading these reviews because you already know that Palm OS is outperforming CE every day. So the choice is Palm Vx, Palm V, IIIx or Visor. I can't recommend Visor at the moment as people are having terrible issues with Handspring. Maybe in a year, but not now. The new Vx is a solid choice, with plenty of storage and other Palm V perks like a better screen and rechargeable battery. But damn, it's still too expensive. If money is not an issue I would probably choose Vx. V is good too, but only 2 megabytes of memory. Now 2 megabytes of memory will be enough for many people. If all you want to do is It's basic appointments/phone book/business, 2 megabytes more than you'll ever need. But that's all. You're stuck with 2 megabytes and can't upgrade (easy). If you're interested in surfing the web with your Palm, browsing websites with AvantGo, playing games, reading books, and more, you'll find that 2 megabytes is a little short. There's still a lot you can do, but managing your storage space takes a little more effort. Now for less money you can get IIIx. You have twice the memory and upgrade options. I personally installed the TRG xtra xtra pro board, which gave me 4 megabytes more RAM and 2 megabytes more flash memory. It's like having an 11MB Palm! Really cool. Of course I bought this before the release of Palm Vx, today it's not so profitable. Another reason I like the Palm IIIx is that I have a lot of add-ons that only work with it. Palm Navigator (compass), Weatherguide, Landware GoVox voice recorder, etc. Palm V. Of course it works both ways. The new Palm 33.6 modem and the new wireless Omnisky modem are only compatible with the Palm VI. I think the Palm V has the best screen, it doesn't seem to have the stripes that many Palm IIIx have. And there's no doubt that there's a certain "cool" factor. Most of my friends at work have opted for the Palm V. But they're pretty impressed with the space and accessories I have for my Palm IIIx. it works both ways.
